Circulatory Failure in Typhoid Fever

چکیده
c ?.Us Pressure with consequent decrease in the c lac output, which is further reduced, because of the impairment of contractility of the heart due to typhoid myocarditis. To combat the resultant steep fall of blood pressure the decrease in circulating blood volume provokes constriction of the peripheral arterioles. The cold clammy skin is due, according to Harrison (1939), to diminished blood flow to the skin because of the decline in the cardiac* output and the local vaso-constriction. The grey cyanosis (pallor 'plus cyanosis) proclaims stagnation of blood at the periphery. In the dual failures of typhoid fever and coronary thrombosis (Levine, 1929), the coldness of the skin affords a striking contrast to the high rectal temperature obtainable in these cases. Circulatory collapse in enteric is not to be attributed to vaso-motor

Electrocardiographic Study of Typhoid Myocarditis.
During the last century the conception of circulatory failure in the course of acute infectious diseases has been subjected to changes in several instances. Circulatory failure of every kind has, of course, a serious influence on the action of the heart itself, and for this reason in infectious diseases it was considered in those early days (1860-95) as heart failure, and the anatomical damage ...

Synthomycetine, a new Synthetic brand of Chloramphenicol was tried in two cases of typhoid fever culturally positive. The dosage schedule was moderate and no initial loading dosage was used. The effects on the temperature chart was shown below were not dramatic and, in fact, in the second case it took seven days for the temperature to touch normal (probably due to urinary complications). But ge...
متن کاملResearch on 20 Patients with Typhoid Tever
In this review which was carried out on 20 patients suffering from typhoid fever the following results were observed: 90% of the patients were under 30 year of age and 75'X, were female. They were hospitalized an average of J 1.75 days after onset of the disease. The most common symptoms were fever and headache at the onset of the disease and during hospitalization. The most important cl...
متن کاملComparative Pharmacokinetics of Levofloxacin in Healthy Volunteers and in Patients Suffering from Typhoid Fever
The aim of this study was to characterize the effect of typhoid fever on pharmacokinetic parameters of levofloxacin (LF) and compare the pharmacokinetic parameters of the said antibiotic in healthy human volunteers and patients with typhoid fever. Total of 12 subjects were divided into two groups “A” (healthy volunteers) and “B” (typhoid patients). Single oral dose of LF 500 mg was given and 5 ...
متن کاملInfluence of awareness programs by media in the typhoid fever: a study based on mathematical modeling
In this paper, we propose and analyze a mathematical model describing the effect of awareness programs by public media on the prevalence of Typhoid fever. A threshold quantity $R_{0}$, similar to the basic reproduction number is derived. We investigate the biologically meaningful equilibrium points and their local stability analysis. The global stability analysis has been performed with respect...
